Checkers Premium App Reviews

The age old game of checkers works smoothly on my iPhone. It is nice to be able to adjust the level of difficulty. It is also nice to be able to pause a game and come back later.

Crashes way too often. Its very annoying!!

My one complaint is that it does the same opening move (one in particular) that leads to its eventual defeat every time. Mind you it took me awhile to figure it out but now I can beat it every time at level five difficulty. Other than that the AI is very challenging and very creative at times.

Good I updated to premium and it was same same....I keep beating the computer and it offers no difficulties.. Come on, the comp is supposed to have endless difficulties and or challenges

After reading many reviews of how strong this programs AI was I decided to give it a try. I wanted a program that could give me at least a fair challenge. What a total waste of time. I realize this is not an app for a desktop, which has a lot more resources and computing power, still there is no challenge whatsoever, even on the highest difficulty setting. I suppose if you want to play versus a human the game may have some value, but other than that its very disappointing.

I like playing checkers. It would be nice if I could block certain players from playing with me. Some just start a game and then never play again or they just end it after one or two moves. It is the same players. Napoleonbambo just started 21 games with me then ended right away. This is a waste if my time. I want to block this one.

Simple and challenging. When Im stressed out, I use it to relax. It works everytime!

I had to delete and redownload this game because it was frozen. Never mind that it keeps crashing. Now I cant choose the difficulty because it wont stay on that page. Developers, get off your butts!

Somewhat challenging. True, the computer starts with the same opening. I lose a third of the time, so I guess I expect to win more than I loose.

Need to have a limit on quits

When playing online with friends some times it lags

I have several checker games on my ipad. This one is by far the best. I am not a great player, so on the lower middle setting it gives me a run for my money. Worked perfectly, slick app.

Ill pay the 1.99 for no ads and human competition all day. Thanks ! :)

Simple and easy

Opponents play but my response play is frozen yet the game shows players waiting for me. This makes it appear that I have quit. They no longer will play against me. Players also quit but the result show that I quit. Quitters should have some type of block before the quit. There is no score to see losses or wins.

I had the free version (and love it) and paid the $1.99 for premium. Wish I hadnt; I see almost no difference. Waste of money, get the free one instead.

Take off your cheating devices and accept losses as they come.

With infinite levels of skill adjustment this program is quick and loads of fun to play.

Lots of personality...for a checkers game. After a few thousand rounds youll begin to understand whats meant by that. Good company in deep nights. Dont care for having to diddle with a dialogue when making a double, and newer apps do away with this. If implemented, highlighting the route through multiple jumps and allowing these to be completed with minimal finger movements/dialogues would simplify play. This is a great, stable app for passing the time while giving your brain a light workout.
